Today, Jovan shares his first time using Australiance services to find his dream job in the construction industry. We conducted an interview with Jovan to gain insights into his experience, and here are the key details from our conversation.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I have been involved primarily in the construction industry and building. I’ve got over 20 plus years of business-to-business selling. I worked for a diverse range of companies over the years primarily, in solution selling, and value proposition of various product lines of companies that are manufacturers of products in Australia. Most recently I have worked for a contractor. So, I got a bit of an insight into what makes them tick, why they buy. I would like to think I am effective.
Are there any challenges you face during the process of seeking the new role and transitioning from your previous role as well?
No, not really. I looked at the post that Pooja sent me, I did 10 to 15 minutes of research and I thought what a great opportunity and I have relevant experience.
How do you find the experience with us?
Wonderful, nothing but praise. Pooja kept me briefed all along the way. I liked her style of communication. She kept me abreast of where things were at. My first initial conversation was online, she told me what would happen next and it’s exactly how it happened. The experience has been nothing but full of praise. Thank you very much.
Do you have any words of wisdom for the first graduate or any of the seniors that are looking for an employment in the future?
Keep doing exactly what you’re doing. As I said, I have got nothing but praise. The experience was very professional. The channels were open, honest, cordial, and friendly. I really enjoyed Pooja keeping me abreast of the next steps. I was very thankful for that. It was easy to plan around.
Do you have any tips for the first graduate that wants to look for a job and secure the role?
Go through the process that was enjoyable. Be open, and be clear about what your expectations are.
